Classic Moor Facial Treatment
The ELIXEA Facial is beneficial for all skin types - dry, normal, combination or oily. It can even be performed on sensitive and problem skins. The overall effect is to deeply purify the skin and pores, aid in abating wrinkles, and rejuvenate the complexion with a heightened firmness, tone and freshness.
w Firstly, cleanse with ELIXEA Cleansing Gel or Milk or Salicylic Cleanser according to skin type. Alternatively you can use the Cleansing Bar, in which case apply with damp disposable pads to maintain hygiene. For heavy eye make-up use ELIXEA Eye Make-Up Remover (shake well before use).
w Secondly, spray a small amount of ELIXEA Herbal, Glycolic or Hydrating Toner (according to skin type) onto the face and neck. Shield the clients eyes with your hand while spraying.
w Next, carry out an exfoliation treatment with ELIXEA Facial Polish. Apply a small amount of the product and rotate over skin with fingertips using very light pressure, taking care not to overstimulate the skin. Alternatively you can use ELIXEA Pumpkin Peel.
w Continue with a facial massage, using the ELIXEA Complete Oil. If preferred, the oil can be mixed with a carrier, such as almond oil, for greater lubrication. Ensure that the oil has completely penetrated into the skin before applying the Facial Mask.
w At this point, extractions can be carried out if required. Many estheticians have found, however, that it is better to wait until after the face mask has been completed, since the mask tends to draw out impurities from the skin, hence making the extractions easier and more effective.
w For an anti-aging treatment: apply 2-3 drops of ELIXEA Renewal Serum after the facial massage by lightly patting it on to skin. Allow serum to fully absorb prior to the application of a mask.
w The rich, black ELIXEA Facial Mask should be mixed with a small amount of water to create the right consistency. Two teaspoonfuls of mask to three or four drops of water should be sufficient. The mask should just start to hang without dripping when applied to the application brush. For clients with very dry or sensitive skin use ELIXEA Cream Mask which can be applied directly without mixing.
w Now apply the mask first and thickest to the chin, nose and forehead, which are richest in sebaceous glands. Then fill in the rest of the face, including the lips. Apply also to the throat and behind the ears, so as to include the thyroid and large lymph vessels. Continue across the shoulders and down to the breasts, forming a V shape. To prevent the mask from drying, spray fine mists of ELIXEA Herbal Toner or add a few drops of Aromabalancing Blend R or H into steamer and direct it towards the client’s face.
w Leave the mask on for 3 minutes the first time, and gradually build up to 10 minutes over the weeks, according to skin type. If there are small areas of sensitive skin or damaged capillaries and you wish to use the pure Moor mask, apply a small amount of ELIXEA Skin Balm before the Facial Mask. The Cream Mask may be left on the face for 10 minutes during the first and sucessive treatments.
w For a soothing eye treatment while the mask is applied, pour a few drops of ELIXEA Eye Lotion onto cotton pads and lay gently over the eyes. For complete client enjoyment and relaxation, massage ELIXEA Tension Balm into the neck and shoulders for a few minutes.
